'Dream of a Western Shore' - Wood engraving - is inspired by Porth Nanven near St Just in the far west of Cornwall, known to locals as ‘down Cot Valley’. The foreshore has large rounded boulders washed out of the raised beach formed over 100,000 years ago when sea levels were much higher. Storm movement of the boulders sculpts dramatic forms in the native granite.
